The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has officially initiated registration for NVS Class 6 admission under JNVST 2026–27. Applications opened on June 4, 2025, and will remain accepted until July 29, 2025. Students aiming to gain admission into 653 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India can apply online via navodaya.gov.in or cbseitms.rcil.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for JNVST Class 6 Admission:

  • Age: Birth between May 1, 2014 and July 31, 2016.
  • Education: Must be studying in Class 5 during 2025–26 in a rural or urban government-recognized school.
  • Residency: Candidates must apply in the district of their current school .
  • Attempt Limit: Only one attempt allowed ever .

How to Apply for JNVST Class 6

Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official portal: navodaya.gov.in or cbseitms.rcil.gov.in
  2. Click on the JNVST Class 6 registration link.
  3. Register your child and log in.
  4. Fill out the application form with accurate details.
  5. Upload required documents: Birth certificate, photo, signature, and proof of residence.
  6. Submit the form and download the confirmation receipt.

Exam Pattern & Language Options

The JNVST Entrance Exam includes:

  • Mental Ability Test (40 ques, 50 marks)
  • Arithmetic Test (20 ques, 25 marks)
  • Language Test (20 ques, 25 marks)

No negative marking, duration 120 minutes.

Exam conducted in English, Hindi, or the regional language of the student’s state.
